Mrs Daniel M ^Gook
Mrs Narcissus McCook, widow of
Banitl McCook, died at her home at
Irwinton Friday, March 18th at nine
o’clock, morning.
Mrs McCook had not been well for
some time and during the lagt few
days her death had been momentarily
expected.
Since Mr McCook died, March Bth
1923, Mrs McCook had been grad
ually declining in health.
She was a member of the Method
ist church, and was a pioneer resi
dent of Irwinton and would have
reach I her 74th year of age had sho

There were many lovely floral offer
ings.

]ra S. King, 84, veterans of the war

night after an attack of pleurisy.
Mr. King served throughout the four
years of the conflict as a member of

the war and was wounded at Vicks
burg, Miss.
He was prominently identified with
various civic projects in the county
and he also served as a member of
the board of county commissioners.
He was a member of the Ball
Methodst Church for the past <>o
years.
He is survived by nine children,

Rev. T. E. Murray officiated at the
services which were held at the Ball
Methodist Church.

Irwinton Monday, March 28 playing
all the week, Mr. Sylvester has been
coming to Irwinton for a number of
years and his entertainm^irt is always
fine and "clean and the people are glad
when becomes for it means a week of
enjoyment for the whole family.
The company played at Danville
this week, this being the sixth time
he visited that city He and his
clever comedians have many friends
in the county who give them a hearty
welcome each year.
If you have not been attending tlm
shows you have missed something.
