Under the carpet, in the teapot, behind the clock—none of
these places are safe hiding spots for money, as is attested by
news items that one sees frequently in the daily papers.
Robbers and, sneak thieves appear to know just where to look
for the family hoard that is hidden about the house instead of be
ing deposited in a bank, where it would be safe.
Besides, the bank pays interest on time deposits. Put your
money at work for you in our bank where it will be safe.

The songs of Mr. Allen Horton to
the accompaniment of his guitar
made the hit of the evening, receiv
ing the most applause and encores,
and if he had had a fiddle along so
that he could have been classed as a
fiddle contestant he certainly would
have taken a prize. His reception
by the audience should be prize
enough, though, and he has been
invited to come again and often.
It will be good news to know that
some of these musicians will play at

Brought Him Best
Health In 5 Years
“Money couldn’t buy the good
Sargon did me. lam feeling better
than I have in years and have gained
eleven pounds.
"I was in a dreadfully run-down
condition and losing
weight steadily. I would be almost
a nervous wreck by night and have
such a backache that it would be
hours before I could get to sleep.
Sometimes I would wake up suddenly
in the night with severe cramps in my
legs- My stomach was in an acid
condition and nearly everything I ate
would give me heartburn.
“I never saw anything like the
way Sargon started picking me un,
and it seemed like I could just sense
its good results. My stomach is
soothed - - I have a keen appetite - -
eat what I want without having any
bad after effects • - my strength and
energy came back, nervousness
disappeared, and I am feeling like a
new man. lam rid of those awful
cramps and can enjoy untroubled
sleep.
‘ ‘Sargon Soft Mass Pills drove the
acid poison from my body.
“Sometimes it all seems like a
dream, that I should be restored to
the good health I never expected to
have again.’'

Absence
At morn I waited for your smile
That made the dawn complete;
At eve I paused to hear a word,
Soft-spoken, dreamy, sweet —
But now, alone among the flowers,
I watch the smile of petal-lips,
And sometimes the humming of a bee
Murmurs like a word of yours
And sweetly startles me.

Passed by a group of men and
heard J. E. Simpson sav he had a
patch that is growing right along. I
hope he was speaking of cantaloupes,
for he makes the very best.
Got butterbeans for dinner —sure
they aie canned, but they are good
just the same. Miss Ellen King sells
them.
Went on the street to shake off a
numbing drowsiness which was slow
down my train of thoughts, and first
thing I saw was two fat men side by
each on a bench in the sunshine aud
they were yawning Gt to kill.
