GEORGIA —Wilkinson County.
Under and by virtue of a power
contained in a deed with power of
•ale, executed by Mrs- Alice Branan
to Farmers & Merchants Bank, of
Gordon, Ga. dated October 21, 1927,
said deed recorded in beek of deeds
41 folio 370 of clerk of superior court
of said county, the undersigned will
sell before the courthouse door of said
county, on the 14 day of October
1929, between the legal hours of sale
to the highest bidder for cash, the
following described land, to wit:
All that tract or parcel of land
lying and being in the city of Gordon,
Ga. and being lots Nos 3,4, 5,6, 7,
8, 9,^10, in Block C, as per plat of
clerk of the superior court of said
county, recorded in book 30 folio 24,
to which plat reference is hereby
made, as part of description of lands
herein conveyed, said lots being
bounded as follows:
On the north by alley, east by
alley, south by road leading to
Milledgeville, on west by M. M.
Eady lands and street. On one of
said lots being situated the dwelling
house now occupied by said grantor,
(description of 1927).
Said land will be sold for the
purpose of paying a certain note
dated October 31, 1927, and due
November 1, 1928, for the principal
sum of $1,838.30 and interest thereon
from date of said note at the rate of
eight per cent, per annum, signed by
the maker of said deed to secure said
debt as described above, the proceeds
of said sale will be applied first to the
payment of said debt and the cost of
this proceeding and the remainder,
if any, will be paid over to the
makers of said deed or to their
representatives.
The purchasers of said land will be
made a deed in fee simple to said
land. ।
This the 12th day of Sept. 1929.

& Merchants Bank of Gordon. Ga.
Dated Sept. Bth 1924 said deed
being recorded in Book of deeds 44
folio 54 of clerk of Superior court of
said county, the undersigned will sell
before the courthouse door on 14th
day of October 1929 between the
legal hours of sale to the highest
bidder for cash the following describ
ed land to-wit:
Two lots of land lying and being in
the town of Gordon, county of Wil
kinson, state of Georgia, and known
as lots Nos 26 and 27, in lot B as
per plat of East View on record in
'clerks office of the superior court of
Wilkinson county Ga. in Book 30
folio 24, and known as the Sam SM
Tomlinson survey of lots in said town
of Gordon, Ga. there being a five
room dwelling situated on the above
described lots.
Said land will be sold for the
purpose of paying two certain notes
dated Nov 1 1928, and due Dec 1
1928, and February 23 1929,
respectively, the principals of said
notes being $23.60 and $294.50,
these being renewals of the indebted
ness described in said deed with
power of sale.
Said notes providing for interest at
the rate of 8 per cent per annum and
and signed by the maker of said deed
to secure debt as described above.
The proceeds of said sale will be
applied first to the payment of said
debt and all costs cf this proceedng
and the remainder, if any, will be
Paid over to the makers of said deed
or their representative.
The purchasers of said land will be
made a deed in fee simple to said
land. This the 12 day of Sept. 1929.

County Schools Show
Larger Enrollment
The high schools of the county are
openrwith increased enrollment and a
most encouraging term in prospect.
Truck routes and schedules have
been arranged more conveniently for
the children.
At Irwinton Mr H. H. Hughes is
principal of Wilkinson County High
school, which opened Monday and
has many new pupils.
Court week and cold weather
are coming in a few days. Dur
ing court week is a good time to
do your fall and winter buying.
