Mr. R. A. Bell Dies
Mr R. A. Bell died at a pri
vate hospital in Macon at one
o’clock Wednesday morning Jan.
8, 1930. He had been ill about
two weeks and was carried to
the hospital for an operation and
his death was attributed to pneu
monia which developed after the
operation.
He is survived by his widow
who was before their marriage,
Miss Sallie Hatfield; and by three
sons, Wesley, Otha and Raleigh,
two grandsons, Jack and Wil
liam Bell, all residing in this
county. "
Mr Bell had for many years
been active in the public affairs
of Wilkinson and at the time of
his death was Tax Collector.
The funeral and interment
at Bethel church Thursday after
noon Rev. Mr Chanelle and Rev.
J. C. Saville officiating, with a
large gathering of relatives and
friend attending from all parts
of the county.

The Irwinton Baptists announce
a change of preaching dates. There
will be services only one Sunday each
month —the Fourth Sunday —ll;30
morning,. 7:90 evening.
The Love Parade, Next
Week, at Rialto, Macon
Maurice Chevalier, the famous
Parisian mnsical comedy star, who
scored adistinct personal triumh in
his first talking picture, "Innocents of
Paris” will make his second
appearance on the audible screen at
the Rialto Theatre, Monday, in
Paramount’s lavishly produced
musical extravaganza, ‘‘The Love
Parade’’.
Beautifully photographed, hand
somely mounted and featuring a half
dozen songs destined to be hits of the
season, ‘‘The Love Parade’’ omerges
as a distinctive picture, brilliantly
directed, and acted with great zest
and evident enjoyment bv the
incomparable Chevalier and his fine
supporting cast.

chorus and “Lets Be Common” a
comedy number sung by the two
supporting comedians, Lupino Lane
and Lillian Roth.
