date for Commissioner of Roads and
Revenue of Wilkinson County, sub
ject to rules of the Democratic Pri
mary.
And I want the people of the coun
ty to know that no political ring put
me out for the office of Commissioner
of Wilkinson County. I saw some of
my friends in different parts es the
county and they all talked favorably
of me running. There is a right way
for everything to be done. @We are
all tax payers and every District
should have a square deal.

County Supplies
In accordance with system which
has been in force and effect since
February 1929, the county
commissioners will let contract to
lowest bidder for the following
supplies for the county on Tuesday
July Ist, 1930:
For Pauper Farm
300 lbs. self rising flour, 75 lbs
sugar, 2 jars snuff, 10 lbs Lucky Joe
tobacco, 18 packages of Prince Albert
smoking tobacco, 12 pks R.J. R,
18 pks. G. W. Smoking tobacco, 10
Ibs. rice, 24 bars Octagon soap, 50 Ibs.
pure lard, 10 lbs Arbuckle coffee, 18
boxes Salmons, 150 lbs best meat,
5 gallons syrup, 2 sks cotton seed
meal, 5 sks cotton seed hulls, 3 sks
shorts,
For Chaingang,
1200 lbs meat 25 to 30 average,
half ribs, 4 Bbls, Self rising flour,
1 es. tomatoes, 100 Ibs sugar, 6
caddies tobacco, Kite or Schnapps, 2
sks. Black eye peas, 2 sks. Lima
Beans, 2 sacks Irish Potatoes, 50 Ilbs,

Invitations are mailed out each
month to the merchants of Wilkinson
county for supplies for Pauper Farm,
and to all the jobbers in Macon,
Milledgeville, Dublin and Tenilie for
suppiies for chaingang, and the
contracts are let w 0 the merchant
submitting the lowest bid. Any
merchant desiring to bid can either
mail his bid in or appear in person
before the Board at its regular
meeting: All bids haying been
previously submitted and disposed of
by the Board since this plan of
buying supplies have been adopted
are all on file in the c:mmissioners
office and subject to be inspected by
the public.
