Local Talent Plays
Following the Pantomime Ghost
play on Friday night of this week,
there will be. two weeks afterwards,
another feature of entertainment on
the P.-T A. program.
On the night of Nov. Bth, a pro
gram will be presented by local talent.
Instead of having one play to take up
the whole evening’s entertainment
there will be two short plays. “The
Obstinate Family’’ is the name of one
and is a play that has a good reputa
tion. The other, “Popping the Ques
tion”, is one which was played in the
best theaters in Loudon and New
York when it was first written. It is a
sparkling comedy.
There will be a number of varied
types along with the plays.
Some good talent was displayed in
town and community last year and it
is expected that the plays will be even
better this season.
Mr and Mrs Edgar Pendleton and
Mr and Mrs 0. W. Bell have apart

A Question ?
To the Public at Large
With business methods changing and
very little attention paid to keeping
credits in good standing, there is only
one thing that can happen to all of us,-
and that is Credit will be Cut Out
Completely.
The merchant in days gone by got from 30 to
120 days credit-
Now he gets from ‘"Cash on Delivery” to 30 days,
thejongest, or an average of 15 days credit.
So, it boils down to this: Anyone slack with his obliga
tion will find hard sailing in the future.
So if any good mathematician can figure out How a
merchant cah carry accounts from year to year and not
one willing to pay even the interest for the accommo
dation ? ?

At the schoolhouse on time for re
hearsal. and waiting for tardy actors
to drift in late. The school ground
thickly strown with see-saws for Mar
gery Daws, and joggling boards to
shake the young brains up and down
and make them light and frothy, lots
of swings to let the cats die in, a slide
which somehow reminds me of splint
ers, basket ball fixings, baseball dia
mond. In my school days there was
nothing to play with except boys and
girls —if vou count girls anything. It
is a good thing I went to school be
fore I became grown, for I would
have been exceedingly bored running
around with a pack of children yelling
about nothing much. After counting
all these playproperties it is easy to
understand why so much candy, ice
cream, sodawater, and fruits must be
fed to the pupils to keep up their
vim and vigor.
