Irwinton Wins
Irwinton defeated Deepstep last
Saturday in a very interesting game
on the local diamond. The first six
innings were played without either
side scoring. Joe Isenberg got a hit
and brought in two men and after that
Irwinton went for the visitors and
piled up a score of twelve to four,
Isenberg did fine work at bat all
through the game, Buck Dixon also
stood out as a swatter in this game.
Leonard Sapp pitched the entire game
for Irwinton and the team and the
fans are proud of his w irk.
Both teams had to do some good
playing to hold each other down tight
so long, Our team is about completed
now with the co.lege boys at home
and we are looking for another good
record this year.
