Under and bv virtue of the power
of sale contained in a certain deed to
secure a debt executed to secure a
debt, executed by W. S. Myrick to
the Merchants & Farmers Bank, a
banking corporation of Baldwin coun
ty, said State, on the I9th day of
March, 1924, and recorded in the of
fice of the clerk of the Superior court
of Wilkinson county in book 38,
pages 614 and 617, the undersigned
will sell, at public sale, before the
courthouse door in said county, dur
ing the legal hours of sale, to the
highest bidder for cash, on the first
Tuesday in May, 1932. the following
described property, towitt
All that tract or parcel of land ly
ing, being and situate in the 321st
Militia district, G. M., Wilkinson
county, Georgia, containing 698 acres,
more or-less, said land haying the
iollowing boundary lines: On the
north by the lands of Smith & Fraz
ier; on the east by lands of Tomlin
son, Aycock and Bridger; on the
south by the lands ot Vinson and
Bridger, and on the west by Lee.
The tract or parcel of land above de
scribed is the same tract or parcel of
land that was set aside as a dower to
Mrs N. A. Whitehurst at the Octo
ber term of the Superior court of
Wilkinson county, 1879. The said
tract or parcel of land is made up in
the following manner: 202^ acres,
more or less in lot No. 189; 100 acres,
more or less, in lot No. 172; 30 acres
more or less, in lot No, 171; 115 acres
more or less, in lot unknown; 40
acres, more or less, in lot unknown;
50 acres, more or less, in lot No.
196; 19 acres, more or less, in lot
unknown; and 50 acres, more or less,
in lot No 197. The aggregate repre
sented in the dower to Mrs N A,'
Whitehurst being 698 acres, more or
less, and being the same land deeded
to me on the 6th of March, 1909.
Said sale will be made in accord
ance with the powers granted in the
deed to secure debt aforesaid, and
will be made for the purpose of
raising funds to pay the following
debt which the deed above mentioned
was given to secure, together with
the cost of this proceeding and inter
est, towit:
One (1) certain promissory note
dated January 2nd,, 1926, due ninety
days after date, for the principal sum
of $3,311.74. and bearing interest at
8% per annum from maturity (the
balance due on principal of this note
is $807.17); one (1) certain promis
sory note dated January the 2nd
1926, due ninety days after date, for
the principal sum of $300(100, and
bearing interest at the rate of 8 %
per annum; (the above designated
notes are renewals of original indebt
edness); one (1) certain promissory
note dated March the 2nd, 1931, due
six months after date, for the princi
pal sum of $152.31 and bearing in
terest from maturity at the rate of 8
% per annum; one (1) certain pro
missory note dated September the
2nd, 1930, due six months after date,
for the principal sum of 31, and
bearing interest at the rate oi 8 per
cent, per annum from maturity; and
one (1) certain promissory note dated
September the 2nd, 1920, due ninety
days after date for the principal sum
of SW2 31, and bearing interest at
the rate of 8 per cent, per annum
from maturity (the balance due on
the principal of this note is SSB. 71.)
(The three (3) notes last above men
tioned are interest notes.) The inter
est due on all of said notes amounts
to $277,80. All of said notes are
signed by W. S. Myrick and pay
able to the said Merchants & Farmers
Bank, or order.
The above d ascribed obligation
having become past due and unpaid,
and demand in writing for payment
of said sums having been made, the
said land and property will be sold
for the purpose of paying said in
debtedness, together with interest to
the day of said sale and for the pur
pose of paying all cost of this pro
ceeding.
The undersigned will execute and
deliver such conveyance to the pur
-1 chaserat said sale as is in the said
deed to secure a debt authorized and
provided.
