MATTERS OF PUBLIC INTEREST
Alex S. Boone
The Registrars of this county
have failed to comply with the
law in preparing the yoter’s list.
Their acts have been irregular if
not illegal, and I hold that they
are both.
Law requires list be prepared
beginning on 20th day of April,
to be finished before the Ist of
June. Law requires that notice
be given to any one whose right
to register is questioned.
You are even denied the right
to know whether you are on or
off the list. Law requires that
list be filed in Clerk’s office on 6
of June every two years. To
date list is not yet filed. Every
taxpayer has right to inspect liat
Wilkinson county practically
thrown out two years ago by
reason of Illegal election, hrought
to statewide notice because of
false telegram that cost Homer
Parker an office that he had won.
