Lord’s Reunion
The Lords held their annual family
reunion Aug. 26. at home of Mr and
Mrs H. M, Bloodworth, Mclntyre.
There were present about 150 de
scendants of Mrs Martha Lord, one
of the pioneer mothers of that exten
sive family connections.

The practice of the family all gath
ering once each year was begun dur
ing her lifetime and has been contin
ued for about 32 years-
The day was beautiful for this
event; it seemed that nature was
smiling on the occasion, lending the
charm given by the mellowed sun
shine of Indian Summer.
The out of county guests were; Mr
and Mrs W. D. Eihetidgc, Dade
City, Fla; Miss Adeline Miller, Jack
, sonville; Miss Cora Stubbs, Orlando,
Mrs Harris Hill, Miami; Mrs J. D.
Chastain Jr. and children, Margie
and Harold, and sister, Josephine
Etheridge from Atlanta; Mr and Mrs
Boss Jones, Waynesboro
Mr J. D. Collins and son, Roy, and
Mr Memphis Bateman, Macon; Mrs J.
W. Lord, Pelham; Mrs George Car
penter, two daughters and srn, Mill
edgeville; Mr and Mrs Will Byington,
and sister, Milledgeville.
A bountiful dinner was served out
under the oaks which was enjoyed
by all.

The musical program is an important feature of the funeral ar
rangements. A favorite hymn, which has given comfort and
strength during the trials of life, is the most appropriate accom

Mrs Hartley Injured
in Auto Accident
Mrs Anna J. Hartley had her
collar bone broken Sunday after
noon when the car in which she
was riding overturned on the
highway near Madison. She is
now resting as well as could be
expected.
Her son, Mr Robt. L. Hartley,
who was driving, and his wife
and son, Robert, also in the car
at the time of the accident were
bruised and shaken but not seri
ously hurt.
