TAX LEVY
In the office of Commissioners of
Roads and Revenues of Wilkinson
County, September Special Term
1932.
Whereas. It appearing to the Board
of Commissioners of Roads and Rev •
enues of Wilkinson County, that
the expenses of operating said county
and the making of improvements
therein requires a levy of 12^ mills
on the dollar or Twelve &bO 100
dollars per thousand on the thousand
dollars of each one thousand dollars
of the taxable property in said coun
ty for the year 1932; it is, Therefore,
Ordered: That 12^ mills on the
dollar or $12.,50 on the thousand
dollars worth of each one thousand
dollars of thxable property in the
county of Wilkinson as per digest of
said county tor the year 1932, be
and the same is hereby levied for
county purposes! and the Tax Collec
tor of said county is hereby author
ized to collect the same for the fol
lowing purposes, to-wit:
Item 1. To pay the legal indebt
edness of the county due or to be
come due during the year or past due
the sum of 5 cents on the one hun
dred dollars.
Item 2, To pay for building and
repairing the court house, jail, bridg
es, ferries and other improvements
the sum of 4$ 3-8 cents on the one
hundred dollars.
Item 3, To pay for sherifls, jail
ers and other officers fees that may
be legally entitled to out of the coun
ty 6 cents on the one hundred dollars.
Item 4. To pay coroner’s fees
that may be due them by the county
for holding inquests 1-8 cents on the
one hundred dollars.
Item 5. To pay the expenses of
the county for bailiffs at court, non
resident witnesses in criminal cases,
servants hire, fuel stationery and
the like 2 cents on the one hundred
dollars.
6. To pay for the legal expenses
of supporting the poor of the county
as provided by law 12 1-2 cents on
the one hundred dollars,
Item 7. To pay jurors a per diem
compensation 3 cents on the one
hundred dollars.
Item 8. To pay for working, main
taining and repairing the public roads
of said county 40 cents on the one
hundred dollars.
Item 9. To pay any other lawful
charge against the county 8 cents on
the one hundred dollars.
School Taxes
Whereas, the Board of Education
of said county having recommended
to the Board that a tax levy of 5 mills
on the dollar of the taxable property
in the County of Wilkinson for school
purposes and for the use of the pub
lic schools of the county for the year
1932. it is,
Ordered; that 5 mills on the dollar
of each one dollars worth of the tax-
able property in the county, be and
the same is hereby levied for the year
1932 for school purposes for the pub
lic schools of the county; and,
Whereas, the board of trustees of
Gordon high school district of said
county having recommended to the
board a levy of 5 mills on the dollar
of tbe taxable property in said school
district for maintenance of said school
and 6 mills for the retiring of bonds
and paying interest thereon, it is,
therefore,
Ordered: that 5 mills on the dollar
of each one dollars worth of the tax
able property in said school district
be levied for maintenance of said
school and 6 mills on the dollar for
retiring bonds and paying interest
thereon for the year 1932, and,
Whereas, the trustees of Tooms
boro high school district having re
commended to the board that a levy
of 5 mills on the dollar of each one
dollars worth of the taxable property
in Toomsboro school district be made
for retiring bonds and paying interest
thereon, and 5 mills for maintenance
of said schools in said district for the
year 1932, it is. therefore,
Ordered: that 5 mills on the dol
lar of each one dollars worth of the
taxable property in Toomsboro school
district be and the same is hereby
levied for the purpose of retiring
bonds and paying interest thereon for
the said school district and 5 mills be
levied for maintenance and support
of said schools in said school district
for the year 1932; and,
Whereas, the board of trustees of
Mt. Carmel school district having re
commended to the board that a levy
of 2 mills on the dollar of each one
dollars worth of the taxable property
in said school district be levied for
the maintenance and support of said
schools in said school district for the
year 1932; it is, therefore,
Ordered; that 2 mills on the dollar
of each one dollars worth of the tax
able property of Mt. Carmel school
district be and the same is hereby
levied for the maintenance and sup
port of said schools in said school
district for the year 193^ and,
Whereas, the board of trustees of
Irwinton school district having re
commended to the board that a levy
of 7 mills on the dollar of each one
dollars worth of the taxable property
in said school district be levied for
retiring bonds and paying interest
thereon for the year 1932, it is,
therefore,
Ordered: that 7 mills on the dollar
of each one dollars worth of the tax
able property in said Irwinton school
district be and the same is hereby
levied for retiring bonds and- paving
interest thereon for the year 1932,
and,
Whereas, the board of trustees of
Mclntyre school district haying re
commended to the board that a levy
of 5 mills on the dollar of the taxable
property in the Mclntyre school dis-
