Misses Doris Lindsey, Ruby Lock
hart., and Anbie Wye Marshall spent
the weekend at their homes in Ten
nille.
Mrs T. E Lord had as her guests
on a trip to Macon Saturday, Misses
Ruth Higginbotham, Inez Mercer and
Johnny Miller.
Mr William Rawlins and Mr
James Holland of Sande'rsville were
visitors in Toomsboro Sunday.
Miss Sally Pippin was the guest of
Miss Annie Wye Marshall Sunday.

to G. S C. W. after spending the
spring holidays with homefolks.

Robbed
Reginald Fowler, furniture
salesman for his father, H. G.
Fowler, was sandbagged and
robbed of about S2O last Satur
day night. The holdup occurred
near Friendship school. He was
unable to give a good descrip
tion of the robbers.

Interesting Field Day
Field Day exercises for the colored
schools of the county were held iu Ir
winton last Friday
Many peonle visited the school and
examined the fine displays of needle
work, basketry, handicraft and decor
ative art. In the exhibits contest
Toomsboro was awarded first prize.
Showings of all the schools were very
creditable. Numerous athletic events
enlivened the day.
