The Service Coach Lines, of Dub
lin, made the first regular trip to Mil
ledgeville Tu ssday, and continues its
daily round trip. People are using
the bus for travel and for sending or
ordering packages, as this offers the
quickest and best service. More

Observes Birthday
Mr J. W. Brook, Sr , Bg, hale and
hearty, recently celebrated his birth
day with a turkey dinner to which a
large number of relatives and friends
were invited, Mr Brooks is Gordon’s
oldest citizen and still gets about like
a much younger man. Over a hun
dred friends called during the day.

legal hours of sale, to the highest
bidder for cash, on the first Tuesday
in January 1936, the following de
scribed property, to wit:
All that tract or parcel of land,
lying and being in the City of Gor
don, Wilkinson county, Georgia,
containing two (2) acres of land in
said town and county, and known as
part of the old Smith place, and
bounded as follows: On the north by
lands of 0. C. Johnson; on the east
by lands of Mrs Calvin Pitts (known
as the old Smith house lot); on the
west by lands of C. C. Johnson, and
on the south bv a new street known
as Smith street. There being a one
story frame dwelling situate thereon.
Said property is being sold for the pur
pose of paving 128 certain promissory
notes, all bearing date of December
28th. 1933, and executed by W. K.
Goodwin to Mrs Ed Ward, and being
for the sum of sl6 00 each, and ma
turing on the 28(h day of each month
from date thereon, default having
been made in payment of said notes,
the grantee in said security deed hav
ing declared all of said notes due and
payable, as provided in said security
deed. The total amount due on said
