Miss Nanlou Walters
Miss Nanlou Walters of Tooms
boro died at a hospital in Milledge
ville Monday, December 23, after an
illness of several years.
Funeral services were held at the
residence Tuesday afternoon, Rev. I.
C. Walker officiating
Miss Walters was an army nurse
for sixteen months, serving at Camp
Beauregard. New Bort News, Va.
She is survived by her mother, Mrs
T. H. Walters: three sisters. Mrs J.
F. Billue of Toomsboro; Mrs W. H.
Toler of Irwinton: Mrs E, E Collins
of Augusta; two brothers L. H. and
R. L. Walters, Toomsboro.

the general election next fall, accord
ing to statement by M. J. Yeomans,
state attorney general, to tax authori
ties in Georgia-
For primaries held before next
May 3, the taxes may be paid at any
time prior to the balloting, with the
understanding that such payment
must be made in time for the board
of registrars in the county to certify
the payer as a qualified yoter.
For primaries and elections held
after May 3, the state law requires
payment of the poll taxes on or be
fore May 3. and failure to pay by this
date will mean disqualification. The
poll tax for 1936 will not be due un-

Mr Nat Toler has been suffering
frofti an attack of pneumonia for sev
eral days at his home near Irwinton.
A community Christmas tree at
the courthouse was one of the week’s
most enjoyable events.
