Randolph Rozar
Funeral services for Randolph Al
len Rozar, 43, of Danville, were held
at the Danville Methodist church on
Friday afternoon at 3.30. with Rev. J.
E. Townsend officiating.
Interment was in the local cemetery
the pallbearers being: A, W. Daugh
try, John Maxwell, Roy Dennard,
Homer Chance, W. R. Lamb, Victor
Davidson.
Mr Rozar died at a Macon Hospital
at 12;30 Thursday morning following
an illness of four weeks from pneumo
nia and comnlications.
Mr Rozar was born in Wilkinson
county and lived in the county all of
his life except for eight years spent in
Savannah where he was district man
ager and distributor for the Delco
Appliance company.
Surviving him are: his wife, who
was Miss Cora Davidson of Danville,
and two daughters, Misses Mildred
and Emma Ruth Rozar of Danville.

The Young People's stewardship
contest of Ebenezer association will
be held at the Jeffersonville Baptist
church on the second Sunday in Feb
ruary, beginn’ng at 2'o’clock in the
afternoon, according to an announce
ment by Miss Floried Smith, young
people’s leader.
Every church will be represented
by the winner in each young person’s
organization—the Young Women’s
auxiliary, the Intermediate G- A’s,
me Intermediate R. A’s, the Junior
R A’s, and the Sunbeams
One winner from each organization
will compete in the Divisional contest
at which time winners will be chosen
tor the State contests.
Miss Viiginia Watson has returned
from a yisit to her parents in Louis
villle.
Messrs S. E. and C. C Goss spent
the week end with their parents in
Weston.
Mrs Hugh McCallum was the week
end guest of Mr and Mrs C. R. Faulk
Mrs 0. M. Koon and children, Al
ice and Oliver, of Jacksonville, Fla ,
were recent guests of Mrs Koon’s
father, Mr C. A. Arnold.
The Parent-Teacher Association
met at the school building on Thurs
day afternoon, with Mrs C. A. Johns
ton as the speaker of the meeting
Her subject was: The child will trust
his teacher if the attitude of the par
ents is such that commands the child
to respect his teacher.
Mrs Lee Green, president, presided,
and reports were heard from the vari
ous chairmen present.
It was voted that the proceeds from
the sale of crocheted bed spread made
by the women of the P. T. A. should
' be used to make the last payment on
' the note for $321.75 signed by the
officers of the P. T. A. tor desks for
the new school building.
It was announced that the Royal
Hawaiians will appear for an enter
’ tainment on February 14th.

with the Salem teams on the salem
courts Fr'day afternoon with the Dan
ville girls winning, 2217, and Salem
boys winning, 22-16. High point
. scorer for the girls was Nina Howell,
। Danville; for the boys: Smith, Salem.

The Schick tests were read Friday
by County Nurse Eva Snow. Those
needing the Diptheria vaccine will be
given this at an early date.
School continues to grow with 402
enrolled to date.
Tests are here again and students
are busy as bees getting ready for
them.
The school campus has been im
proved by the pruning of the trees.

The Wilkinson Countv High
School teams defeated the Toomsboro
teams on the home court Friday ev
ening. Both games were very inter
esting and clean. The Girls were
defeated 62: the bovs lost by the
very close score of 12 15.

Roosevelt Campaign
Manager
Marion Allen of Milledgeville has
been elected as Roosevelt campaign
manager for the State. Lawrence
Camp, United States district attorney
nominated him; seconded by E. D.
Rivers, speaker of the house of rep
resentatives. This is pleasing news
to Mr Allen’s many Wilkinson coun
ty friends.
