taining recommendations for work on
State Highways 29 and 57 was sent
to the State Highway Board:

Dear Mr Wilburn,
While this letter is addressed to
you, yet it is intended for the other
members of the State Highway Board
of Georgia-
Inclosed I hand you a certified
copy of the resolutions incorporated
in the general presentments of the
grand jury of Wilkinson county,
Georgia, at the April Term 1936 in
reference to paying certain public
roads in said county.
Permit me to add to said recom
mendations that said county is in this
judicial district and I feel a great in
terest in its deyelopment and welfare
and I will highly appreciate anything
the State Highway Board can do in
complying with the requests contained
in said recommendations as early as
you can conveniently do so.
I travel over the roads in that
county and I know that the special
roads mentioned in the said resolution
are very important hlghwaye and the
people will appreciate your hind con
sideration in complying the conditions
of said recommendations as early as
is practicable and convenient to the
State Highway Board.

John J. Ryles
। John Jasper Ryles of Gordon, died
in a Macon hospital Tuesday alter a
, short illness. Funeral services were
held Wednesday afternoon at Gordon
, Baptist church, by Rev. J. S. Hayes,
. Baptist, Rev. Lowry Anderson,Meth
odist, and Rev. J. L. Pittman, Bap
tist. Interment in Ramah cemetery.
Mr Ryles was a native of Twiggs
county but had lived in Gordon since
1912. He was a planter and took
an actiye interest in county affairs. At
( one time he was Superintendent of
. Roads of this couaty.
। He was a member of the Methodist
church
[ He is survived by his widow, for
। merly Miss Minnie Dykes, and one
, son, J. C. Ryle.

Field Engineer At Edgars
David C. Frobes. assistant manager
of Morgan and Morgan Insurance
Agency, will leave Macon Friday to
become field engineer located at Mc-
Intyre, with the Edgar Brothers Clay
Company of Georgia and Florida, it
was announced yesterday.
Mr Frobes, who was graduated
from the Colorado School of Mines,
was an engineer before entering the
insurance business three years ago.
He is an active member of the
Little Theater and has taken part in
several of the productions —Macon
News.

gret to learn of the dea'h of Mr O. B.
Mosley, salesman for the Georgia
Power Company, who died in a Mil.
ledgevilie hospital Thursday aftet an
illness of several weeks.

! from Sandersville, where she has been
visiting.
