Mr. Joe Butler and children,
Linda and Jeb came down by
plane from Chew Chase, Md. to
spend I hanksgiving with home
folks They were entertained at
a family dinner Friday at the
home of Col and Mrs. Victor Da
vidson and returned home in the
afternoon. Due to illness Mrs.
Butler was unable to make the
trip.
Glad to hear that Mr. John
Todd is gaining strength and
may be coming home soon.
Among those who cheered

Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Sapp
and little daughter Julie, have
returned home after two year’s
stay in National City, (a suburb
of San Diego.) Calif. Mr Sapp
■ recently discharged from the US
Navy, says they are "home for
good ” Mrs. Sapp is the former
Miss Frankie Rillue.
Billy Player was at home for
the long weekend from the Uni
versity of Georgia and kept the
Station for Mr and Mrs J. H
Skelton, who spent Thanksgiv
ing with relatives in Knoxville.

union Thursday at the home of
Mr and Mrs. George Faye at
Lake, Sinclair.

weekend with Mrs Robert Hart
ley.
Mrs. N H. Bacon enjoyed a re
cent visit to her girlhood home
in White Springs, Fla., where
her brother and his family now
live. She also visited the Harrv
Moodie family at Douglas.
Our Vilco boys and girls con
tinue to win. Both notched their
10 victoryin 11 starts Nov.*3oth
when they defeated Roberta.

, son are building a beautiful home
on Vinson Highway toward Mill
edgeville. about 3^2 milts out of
Toomsboro, on the Jackson farm.
Mrs. Cynthia Dudley recently
visited friends in Macon and Dud
ley.
Mrs. Lila Mae Stubbs had her
, children and grandchildren and
several other friends with her
for Thanksgiving dinner. Mrs,
Dudley was amo g the friends.
Mr. and Mrs W. A. Dean had
both sons, W. A. Jr. of Moultrie,
and his family, and Merrill and
family of Milledgeville, at home
Thursday Mr. and Mrs. Merrill
Dean’s new baby has been given
the name of Deborah Elaine
Mr. and Mrs. Ken West of At
lanta were home with parents,
Mr. and Mrs. P. M. Jackson for
the Holidays.
Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Holliman
and iMrs. Victor Kaminsky joined
the Irwinton bail fans and went
on the special train from Macon
to Athens for the Tech-Georgia
game.
Mrs. M. E. Thomas and son,
Sidwell Thomas of Vineland. N.
J. were welcome visitors in the
’boro Monday afternoon, enroute
to Fitzgerald where Mrs, Thom
as will spend the cold months
with her son. John Knight Tho
mas and family.
We are always glad to see any
one of this family come back
home. The WSCS ladies were es
peccially delighted to have Mrs.
Thomas join them for awhile
during their meeting, since she
was a charter member of Tooms
boro WSCS, also a life member
of the Society.

to the University of Ga after
the holidays at home with par

teaching at Newnan, spent

and is being operated by Walter
