Jacked up four and one-half feet above beach pier, sub was then
rolled across Outer Drive to permanent exhibition site at the east
wing of Chicago’s Museum of Science and Industry. Actual capture
of sub took less than 20 minutes. Moving it to final berth, a dis
tance of 647 feet, took 40 days. (Inset) Present for dedication cere
monies were Rear Admiral Gallery and Commander Arthur God
