If you had a flower for
every hour
. . . your electric washing machine saves you,
you could wear a posy to church every Sunday
for 46 years! (Your washer can save you
2400 hours during its lifetime! And think of
the time an electric dryer can add to that!)
This is only a sample of the time and energy
electricity saves you on household chores
of all kinds, for just a few cents a day.
Electric service is the biggest bargain'in

Your Pork Could Have Looked Like This
Some of the newcomers to Forest Park don’t
know that our city park was deeded to the city for a
park only. This has been violated already. Now your
mayor has allowed the park committee to slash your
park to bits without calling in a park consultant.
I for one do not know a good man who would re
commend cutting one tree in the park let alone cut
ting the best stand of specimen trees la tne state. I
do not know the park committee . . . they might
make pretty good clerk in a store or good bookkeep
er but am sure that they don’t know what to do with
our park without guidance. The park committee has
done something but I think the result is a mess and
of the thXn m °" ey that they Wi " Ret Out

danger. There are some holes in the roads that will
bust your tires and springs. One of my trucks hit a
hole and busted a front tire and slid off the road and
wrecked. This cost me $2000.00. There is a drive on
for safe driving so lets ask the road commissioners
to patch a few of the holes so our roads will be a
little better so we can live a little longer:

some say what it means but that would not do to
print—makes my ears turn red.
