LESSON NO. 2
More About The (Jrip
The golf grip is a finger grip;
go hold the club .securely in the
’‘roots” of the fingers. Securely
doesn't mean tightly, for we
aren’t trying to squeeze a "moo”
out of the calfskin. The secret is
a firm solid hold without having
tightly drawn tendons.
Once you have grasped the club
firmly don’t let go until you have
completed the follow-through anil
the ball is down the fairway. One
of the most common and most di
astrous faults we must overcome

Dr. L. M. Hewitt, President of
the Hapeville Chamber of Com

ing formulated for a similar sale
this fall if the response to this
project fulfills expectations. He
warns shoppers not to miss the
opportunity to buy during the
sale at unbelievable prices, and
points out that many merchants
will in addition have unadver
tised bargains. They want the
buying public to come in and
find them. (ADV).

We were first to'J of Mar

She won the large sum of
money by naming the little garl

amounted to $25,000.
Mrs. Pierce was presented the

The award was made in the de

Mr. Paul Welch, Southeastern

that the area will hit one million
not later than 1961. Many authori

have reached one million at that
time.

To Our Valued Advertisers:
For the part several months the staff of the Forest Park News has
been pleased to co operate with advertisers in distributing a wide
variety of promotional and advertising material, both as inserts in ths
newspaper and separately.
Though we have never advertised this service, the volume con
tinues to increase by word of mouth from one satisfied advertiser to
another.
i
Since there may be many advertisers who are unaware of this service, we take
this opportunity to aquaint you with what we offer.
In Forest Park our circulation is near 3000. We reach better than
95% of the homes within the city limits. The total circulation figure
grows each week as new residents move here.
Our offer to distribute rhe Forest Park News free through the mail to the
County residents has met with phenomenal response. At the present time nearly
1000 homes representing every section of the County receive the Forest Park News
each week and this circulation continues to grow each week.
Thus we are in a position to distribute your promotional material
to approximately 4000 homes in Clayton County, inserted in the Forest
Park News. Your message therefore enters the home as part of a known
medium and is consequently more effective than if sent alone through
the mail.
And the rates are subtantially lower than mailing fees . ..
We are also in a position to offer blanket coverage in any area of
Clayton County which you may desire, by boys who are familiar with
all sections of the County, having distributed in them in the past. These
are the same carefully selected boys who, working regularly assigned
routes, in Forest Park, have proved their efficiency and devotion to duty
over a period of one year.
As you well know, the high quality, multi-color type promotion*!
display material (which we as a newspaper cannot offer through our
regularly printed pages) is an effective means of selling the products
which you offer.
We cordially invite your inquires concerning this inexpensive
and time tested method of getting your message to your customers.
Call the office ... POplar 1-0911 and we will be pleased to quote
you rates and supply you with additional information.
