If We Knew OQur Need,

NO. 50
Men that is born of woman, is of few days,
and full of trouble. Job 14:1. Man, born of
woman, is full of trouble, but it is because
they have not tasted that God is gracious,
nor been born again. The word of God in
forms men, born of women, of provisions
that have been made for them to be born
again, and to have a really new life that
is not through a natural physical birth, and
not of the world. John 3:3. Much of mens
troubles concern things that do not count,
nor really matter. Such are many of the
cares and worries of this world. Knowing
what counts, and matters, and what does
not count or matter, is the greatest need
that men have. To every man that is born
of woman, the new birth matters above all
else. "To be carnally minded is death, but
to be spiritually minded is life and peace.
Rom. 8:6. Out of the heart (mind) proceed
the issues of life. Prov. 4:23. Be ye trans
formed by the renewing of your mind. Rom.
12:2. To men that are full of trouble, Jesus
said, “"Peace | leave with you, my peace |
give unto you.” John 14:27. The peace of
God, which passeth understanding, shall
keep your hearts and minds through Christ
Jesus. Phil. 4:7. This is a testimony that
ought to be forthcoming from every one of
us, (not troubles.) In the new birth, many
things come to pass. Through spiritual birth,
men are "fitly framed together, builded to
gether for an habitation of God through the
pirit”’. Eph. 2:21-22. Where the new birth
occurs there is "joy unspeakable and full of
glory.” 1 Peter 1:8. This is another testi
mony that ought to be forthcoming from
our lips. “Being born again, not of corrup
tible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word
of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.”
1 Peter 1:23. “If any man be in Christ, he
is a .new creature, old things are f “ssed
away, behold all things are become new. 2
Cor. 5:17. Through the birth that is of in
corruptible seed life rises above the life of
the temporal man, he is not in the flesh, but
in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God
dwells in him. Rom. 8:9. Man that is not
born again, hath not the Son, and hath not
life. Man that is born again hath the Son,
and hath life, 1 John 5:12. To all who have

Mrs. Brigadier George Mar

Mrs. Marshall said that 200

Salvation Army will mail the
dolls.
Mrs. Marshall told of sev

visiting little girls in hos

cle disease which prevented
use of her hands. “I decided
not to take a doll because of
her hands,” she said. “I se

the hospital on Christmas
Day, two doctors were trying
to entice the child to pick
up paper cups. I rolled this
ball out and the child used
her hands to take it.”

the vain ways of those who are not born
again. “'Labor not for the meat which per
isheth, but for that meat which endureth
unto everlasting life, which the Son of Man
shall give you. John 6:27. Let our meat be
to do the will of God, being lights in the
world, and the salt of the earth. There is
only one way, one truth, and one life, for
all of us. Jesus said, * No man cometh unto
the Father but by me.” (the true light) John
1:9.—14:6. If we are weighed in the bal
ances and found wanting, it will be because
we have not walked in the light, as he is
in the light. 1 John 1:7. The woman of Sa
maria, whom Christ met at Jacobs Well,
was a person with a need that all men who
have not been born again are in need of.
Everyone needs to know about God's gifts,
and the living water that becomes a well of
water within him, springing up into ever
lasting life. John 4:14. These waters are for
every man, and in drinking of them men will
find that all the fundamental and deeper
needs of man are met. These waters bring
men to perfection in fulfillment of the high
calling of God in Christ Jesus, Phil. 3:14.
We must believe that God is concerned with
the personal perfection of each one of us,
but when we look for perfection in men, we
must conclude that they are not adequately
concerned about their perfection, nor the
perfection of their associates and friends,
and far from being transformed in mind and
heart in obedience to the law of holiness
and righteousness. |f men were as staunch
advocates of the personal perfection of men,
as they are of sectarian beliefs and prac
tices, or as they are of their favorite ath
letes, there would be more perfection in the
world. Blessed are the eyes that see, and
the hands that work, to bring about the
perfection of men, that they might appear
before God without blemish.
