ATLANTA ARMY DEPOT—Winners In Hai-Maklng Con
test—Left to right, Mrs. Alice Burrell’s kitchen tools hat
took first place as the craziest in Depot Officers Wives
Club contest. The round crown is a collander, topped
with an aluminum funnel, other kitchen tools adorning
the entire hat. Mrs. Charlene McAfee’s wide-brimmed
blue Panama from the West Indies took first place as the
prettiest. It was lavishly trimmed with felt tropical red
and white flowers, two red ones dropping from right side
of the brim. Voted the most original was Mrs. Irene Dil
lon's creation, the crown of which was a 1968 calendar
with the date of her husband’s scheduled return from
Vietnam circled in red. A small sign on one side carried
the information “Ten Months Down," while the other
side said “Two to Go,” with an air mail letter in the cen

How do you say “piggyback” with
a Southern accent?
Pronounce it “containerization.”
Containerization. That’s where the
future of piggyback lies. And that’s
where Southern Railway has put
the emphasis all along. Not on the
mere hauling of highway trailers.
Containerization means safer
freight, easier, faster handling.
Containers are ideal “packages”
for travel by rail and highway, by
sea, even air in one money-saving
intcrmodal transportation service.
Containerization means lower cap-

come constipation. When walking
the chest should be held well
up to facilitate deep breathing.
Sitting in a slumped, relaxed
position with the chest flat,
the shoulders hunched, is con
ductive to congestion in the
abdominal region. The relaxing
of the abdominal muscles due
to the bad posture above
described tends to cause pro-
ital investment and lower cost for
us. putting us in a better position
to maintain a lower level of rates
to our customers. These arc sonic
of the reasons why Southern helped
pioneer containerization, develop
ing the widest variety of containers,
building huge cranes for swift
transfer of containers between rail
and highway service.
Containerized Freight —one of
a host of innovations by Southern
lapse ofallthe viscera including
the liver, kidneys and stomach.
When one sits erect the chest
is elevated, the abdominal mus
cles are tense and hold the
organs in their proper position
allowing the free circulation of
blood through the body.
Bad habits, in sitting, stand
ing and walking cause conges
tions which bring on diseases
of various sorts and are produc
tive of headaches, backaches,
and other distressing symptoms.
Improper posture is conducive
to indigestion as well as other
bodily ills. Many ailments from
which so many suffer would
vanish if they discontinued their
bad habits of carrying their
lungs in the back instead of in
the front, raised their chests,
and kept their spines straight.
In order to get the correct
standing position, stand against
the wall, put the heels, hips,
shoulders and back of the head
firmly against the wall. Bend
the head backward as far as
you can while keeping it in
contact with the wall. Pennit
the chest to move forward, raise
your head and walk off. Your
body falls into a correct posi
tion. The abdomen will be held
in, the hips back, the chest up

trained military men.
