Bids must be accompanied by

amount of not less than 5% of the

formance Bond of 100% of Con
tract price will be required for all
Contracts.
No Bids may be withdrawn for a
period of thirty (30) days from the

ity reserves the right to reject any

The work consists of the com
plete construction and readying for
service approximately 4500 L.F of
15’ , 7800 of 12”, 8700 L.F. of
10” and 3700 L.F. of 8” sanitary
sewers, including all standard man
holes, all crossings, appurtenances,

tified as Contract No. 63206-ClO
Sanitary Sewer Outfalls.
One contract will be awarded
covering all the work.
Time is of the utmost importance
m this contract. The successful
bidder will be required to make
every effort to complete the work
in the least possible time.

FOR PROFIT CORPORATION
The petition of John W. Morgan,
Mrs. Betty A. Hansen, and Chaun
cey W. Depew, Sr., hereinafter
called petitioners, respectfully
shows:
1.
Petitioners desire for themselves,
their associates and successors to be
incorporated under the name of
“North Clayton Business and Tax
Service, Inc.”
2.
The object of said corporation is
pecuniary gain and profit.
3.
The general nature of the business
or businesses to be transacted is as
follows: Business, bookkeeping and
tax service to the general public and
allied businesses.
4.
Petitioners further desire that said
corporation be vested with all the
rights and powers now or hereafter
given to do any and all things which
may be needful or proper in the
operation of the above described
business, and that said corporation
have all of the powers enumerated
in Sections 22-1827 and 22-1828,
Georgia Code Annotated, and such
powers as may hereafter be given
by law.
5.
The maximum number of shares
of stock shall be One Hundred
(100) of the par value of five
($5.00) dollars per share, all of
which shall be common stock.
However, the amount of capital
with which the corporation shall
begin business shall be not less than
Two Hundred Dollars ($200.00).
The corporation shall be authorized
to issue additional shares up to the
maximum sum above stated, and
thereafter, from time to time, but
within the limitations set forth in
section 22-1854, Georgia Code
Annotated, to reduce the amount
of capital outstanding.
6.
The time for which the corpora
tion is to have existence is 35 years,
with the privilege of renewal of the
charter, from time to time, upon
the expiration of said periods of
thirty-five (35) years.
7.
The County in which the princi
pal office of the corporation is to
be located is Clayton County, Geor
gia, but the privilege is desired of
establishing branch offices and
places of business both within and
without the State of Georgia.
8.

of each of the applicants for charter

(10) days after Notice to Proceed
has been issued and shall be com
pleted withm the number of calen
dar days indicated. When contract
has been executed, written notice
shall be given the Contractor, at
which time, and not before, work
may be started.
Contract executed pursuant to
this Notice is binding on the State
Highway Department, as such. Said
contract will not create liability,
expressed or implied, against the
undersigned Director of the State
Highway Department, as an in
dividual nor against any employee
of the State Highway Department,
in his or her individual capacity.
Plans and Specifications may be
inspected at the offices of the
undersigned at Atlanta, and at the
Division Office indicated, and at
the office of the Board of County
Commissioners of the County in
which the work lies. Copies of the
plans may be obtained upon pay
ment in advance of the sum indi
cated. Copies of the Standard
Specifications may be obtained
upon payment in advance of the
sum of $4.00, which sums will not
be refunded.
Proposals must be submitted on
regular forms, which will be
supplied by the undersigned, and
may be obtained by a payment, in
advance, of $5.00 for each proposal
issued. When the proposal is sub
mitted, it must be accompanied by
a proposal guaranty in the form of
a certified check, cashier’s check,
negotiable United States Bonds, or
other acceptable security in the
amount indicated, and must be
plainly marked “Proposal for Road
Construction,” County and
Number, and show the time of
opening as advertised. Check of the
low bidder will be cashed and all
other checks will be returned as
soon as the contract is awarded,
unless it is deemed advisable by the
State Highway Department to hold
one or more checks. If an unusual
condition arises, the State Highway
Department reserves the right to
cash all checks. Bidders Bond will
not be accepted. Bond will be
required of the successful bidder as
required by law.
Contracts will not be awarded to
contractors who have not been
placed on the list of qualified Con
tractors prior to the date of award.
No proposal will be issued to any
bidder later than 9 a.m. of the date
of opening bids.
All bids must show totals for each
item and total amount of bid. Right
is reserved in the undersigned to
delay the award of the contract for
a period not to exceed thirty (30)
days from the date of opening bids,
during which period bids shall
remain open and not subject to
withdrawal. Right is also reserved in
the undersigned to reject any and
all bids and to waive all formalities.
Upon compliance with the re
quirements of the Standard Specifi
cations, payment for work done
shall be made in accordance with
the provisions of the Standard
Specifications.
On projects involving Federal
Funds the minimum wages to be
paid shall be the amounts set out in
the Labor Provisions included in
the Proposal. The attention of
bidders is directed to the Special
Provisions covering employment of
labor, methods of construction, and
subletting or assigning the contract.
On such projects, the State High
way Department, in accordance
with the provision of Title VI of
the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (78
Stat. 252) and the Regulations of
the Department of Commerce (15
Pa,t 8 ). issued pursuant to
such Act, hereby notifies all bidders
tnat it will affirmatively insure that
the contract entered into pursuant
to this advertisement will be
awarded to the lowest responsible

Notice is hereby given that the
City of Morrow will apply to the
January, 1969 Session of the
General Assembly for passage of
local legislation to amend an act
entitled "An Act to Create and
Incorporate the City of Morrow” m
Clayton County, approved March 2,
19 43 (Ga. Laws 1943, pp.
1453-1457), as amended, to extend
the city limits; to adopt a new
Charter; to repeal laws in conflict
with the Charter and for other
purposes.
