25th Anniversary for
Dr. Wesberry
Rev. James Pickett Wesberry. pastor of the Morningside
Baptist Church, was honored Saturday night on the occasion
of his 25th anniversary.
while giving his church priority, has been a great leader
in our Baptist denomination, and has preached the saving
power of Jesus Christ throughout our city, state, nation,
and in many places around the world. His influence has
been used untiringly in every phase of his ministry to point
others to the true way of life.
Through this quarter of a century our Pastor’s beloved
wife, Sue. has freely and unselfishly given of her talents
and services wherever and whenever needed. Her beautiful
smile, radiance of spirit, and devotion to our entire mem
bership have been sources of great strength and inspiration
for which we, too* thank God.
As we begin our Twenty-sixth year as Pastor and People,
we dedicate our hearts and hands anew to the tasks and
challenges of the future, “being confident of this very
thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will
perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.”
We salute our Pastor and his wife on this significant an
niversary with our love and prayers for God’s guidance as
they lead us to greater achievements for Christ in the years
ahead.
