Nancy’s Notes and
Quotes
If you are interested in tak
ing off a few pounds or a few
inches read on. A couple of
friends came in the office and
stated that they had been try
ing for weeks to exercise at
home and their efforts had
given them no results. Then
they started singing the praises
of the Lake City Community
Club. It seems this club has
started exercise classes at the
Community House on Harper
Court and the classes are on
luesday and Thursday eve
nings from 7:30 to 8:30. These
ladies and many more are de
lighted with the results when
lessons are given by an instruc
tor. They must have found out
the old adage “Misery Loves
Company” is true because they
state that when you are
working with a group it sure
makes it easier. I he charge for
registering is SI.OO and classes
20c each.

The Morrow Lake City Rec
reation Association would like
to urge all coaches, managers,
and mainly fathers to get over
to the new fields this Saturday
morning because they are
badly needed. The fields need a
lot of work done on them and
manpower is the main key to
the problem. Everyone likes to
spend Saturday mornings in
bed but we have had the word
that if the gentlemen would
just go over one time and see
how desperately they are
needed they would be more
than happy to donate a small
amount of their time. Without
the manpower it will be impos
sible to finish the fields in
time. Would you believe only
about 10 men showed up to
work last Saturday? lime is
running out.

Just read in recent survey a
little news item that might con
firm (not surprise) what most
mothers of teen-age girls al
ready suspect and that is that
most teen-age girls spend more
money per capita on hair items
and more hours each week car
ing for their tresses than adult
women and that hair setting is
carried on a medium of four
times a week.
