Burned to Death.
An old colored woman, who lived
all alone, in our town, not appearing
as usual on Sunday morning last; her
daughter becoming uneasy, had the
house broken opou, when they found
the old woman streuchad upon the
floor, oil her face with her clothing
burued off of her, anil she quiet dead.
A jury of inquest rendered a veidict
ot accidental burning.
THE NEW WARE-HOUSE.
The efficient depot agent at this
place and fellow townsman Mr. E. J
Acosta, have moved into the new
wureh iuie, and taxes his seat near a
fireside, and when at leasure, reads
his paper from a lar back and imagines
that lie is in a palace, that is lar above
the perfume of guttio, where every
thing as neat as a of pin and kept free
from incumbrancs unclean freights.
We can‘imagine that the gentleman
can not help but to leel proud of his
new quarters and put ou Sunday smiles
and look back at the old homestead
ami regret that the ^change had not
been made long ago.
Mr. L. C. Houston.

These conditions the “Light Runing

which go far to make good its claims
to popular favor.
Now a great many families have
been and are still using the old ma¬

But low why delay longer? Considering
the price at which good machines
