If You Want Anything
died at her home in Machn at 2
o'clock last Saturday morning.
Tim body was brought to Perry
for interment, accompanied by her
three sons and Rev. j. G. Harrison
of Macon, and two brothers-in-law,
Messrs. John j. and L. F. Cater'of
Forsyth.
The funeral services were held
Sunday morning in Perry at the
home of Mr. C. F. Cooper, only
brother of the deceased, The ser
vices were feelingly conducted by
Rev. J. G. Harrison of Macon.
On account of heavy rain during
the morning, the burial in Ever
green Cemetery was not. until Sun
day afternoon. ' J - •- -
A large number of friends attend
ed with the relatives. The floral re
membrances, principally white roses,
.were exceedingly beautiful.
Mrs. Cater was born in Perry 46
years ago, and lived here about two-
thirds of her 1 life. Bright’s disease,
from which she suffered a year or
more, caused her death.
As child, maiden, matron, this
writer knew .her well, and of her he
knew ably good. She was most es
timable' in' Christian character, a
consistent .member of the Baptist
ehhrch, a Christian, “ a truly good
woman.:
Her bereaved sons, mother, sisters
and brother have the tenderest sym
pathy of their many friends.
A more extended notice of this
most excellent woman will be pub
lished later. ’ r
day afternoon with his wife and
two children.
At the depot they were met by
members of the church, and at the
parsonage a number of ladies gave
them cordial reception, with the
larder well supplied for a short pe
riod, and a good sapper prepared
for their use.
He attended Sabbath School Sun
day morning, and although there
was a heavy rain during the morn
ing, a congregation of about forty
heard his first sermon at the usual
morning hour. ;:f
' The impression-he ufceatechis quite
favorable, and there is good reason
to believe bis service during the
year will bring pastor and people
close together in Christian fellow
ship, and that the cause of religion
will be materially advanced.
Christmas in Perry.
