A lovely affair of Friday after
noon was the tea given for Miss
Nunn by Mrs. W. B. Evans,Miss
Martha Cooper, and Mrs. J. M.
Gooden at the home of Mrs.
Evans and Miss Cooper.
Forming the receiving line in
the drawing room were the
hostesses: the honoree; the moth
er of the bride-elect, Mrs. George
C. Nunn; the mother of the
groom-elect, Mrs. Robert E.
Brown; and those who are to be
members of the wedding party,
Misses Carolyn Coleman, Jeani
Brown, Jesselyn Griggs, and
Evelyn Hunt
Receiving at the front door
were Mrs. L. M. Paul, Jr, and
Mrs, F. Marion Houser. Receiv
ing in the drawing room were
Mrs. J. P. Cooper, Mrs. Chas. G.
Harris, and Mrs. Emmett Barnes.
Assisting in entertaining were

Miss Willie Ryals played piano
numbers during the tea.
A color motif of yellow and
white was beautifully carried out
in the floral arrangements, tea
table appointments, and refresh
ments. Spirea, flowering while
peach, and daffodils were t h
flowers used. Tiny corsages of !
snowdrops and heart-shaped yel
low mints decorated each plate.
150 guests called between five
and six-thirty o’clock.
Morning Party
A delightfully informal party
was given by Mrs, L. M. Paul,
Jr. Saturday morning in honor
of Miss Nunn. The home was
attractively decorated with
spring blossoms. The refresh
ments featured Coca-cola.
Each guest wrote a recipe for
the honoree. Mrs. J. F. Bonner,
aunt of the bride-elect, read a re
cipe on“ How to Cook Husbands”
that caused much merriment.
Miss Nunn was presented with
a very large Easter egg with her
name on it.
Assisting in entertaining were
Mrs. Chas. G. Harris, Mrs. J.M.
Gooden, Mrs. C P. Gray, Miss
Mary Paul, and Miss Betty
Gooden.
Twenty-five friends of the
honoree were present.
Matinee Party
Saturday afternoon, Mrs. John
L. Hodges gave a matinee party
for Miss Nunn at a Macon thea
tre. Ice cream was served after
the paovie. Eighteen guests
were invited to go on this party.
The honoree was presented
with a box of candy.
Others who have entertained
for Miss Nunn are Mrs. Cater
Rogers with a shower and Miss
Jesselyn Grigg and Mrs. H, E.
Gordon with a luncheon.
