Georgia families are not indifferent to an abundant, dc*
" pendable supply of low-cost electric service. j
During the twelve months period just reported on,
homes on the lines of the Georgia Power Company used an .
[| average of 1,505 kilowatt hours of electric energy. The
average throughout the nation for the same period was 934 *
I kilowatt hours per home. ■
| That means that homes on the lines of this Company
I nsed 60 per cent MORE electric service, as an average per I
I home, than the average home throughout the rest of the |
whole United Slates! I
I One of the reasons is probably this: I
While the homes in all the 48 states, taken together, •
were paying an average of 3.89 cents per kilowatt hour for I
their electric service, homes on this Company’s lines were \
L paying an average of only 2.75 cents per kilowatt hour. |
These Georgia homes get their service for almost 30 |
per cent LESS than the national average! I
