personal mention Miss Betty Gooden spent the weekend with Miss Marianne Nunn at Wesleyan College, Ma con. Mrs. W.E. Beckham was host ess to her Bridge club last Thurs day P- m - Mrs. Rbett Milam and daugh ter, Nita, spent several days last week with relatives in Macon. Mrs. Carrie Mae Fulton of Cochran was the guest of her sister, Mrs. A. P. Whipple, Wed nesday and Thursday last week. Miss Meriamme Rhodes came home from Shorter College, Rome, last Thursday and spent several days. Mrs. T. M. Evans of Fort Ben ning, Ga, visited Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Harper last Thursday. Mrs. George Marcott of Oak land, Calif, is visiting her par ents, Mr. and Mrs. Grady Daniel. Mrs. Marcott came home with her mother who had visited her several weeks. Mr. Sam N.Hodges of Atlanta visited Mr. and Mrs. J. L. Hodges and Mrs J. H. Hodges Sunday. Caroline Hodges re turned home with her father, Mr. S. N. Hodges, after a visit i here. Mrs. Duncan Cater and son, Duncan Jr., of Greensboro, N.C. arrived Saturday for a visit with Dr. and Mrs. R L. Cater. Mrs. Aubrey Anderson and Mrs. Albert Skellie spent Wed nesday last week in Atlanta. Mr. Colquitt Brantley came home from Clemson College, S. C. for the weekend. Mr. and Mrs. J. L. Hodges will have as their guests for Thanksgiving Mr. and Mrs. W. K. Couch Jr., Mr. and Mrs. J. C, Watts and son, Billy, of Talbot ton, Ga. Mrs. Watts and Billy will visit here until Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. F.M. Greene had as their guests for the weekend their children, Mr. and Mrs. Marion Greene and daughter, Wallis, of Bainbridge; Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Richards and daugh ter, Kay, of Atlanta; Messrs. Robert and Marvin Greene, stu dents of Mercer University, Ma con. Mr.Derrille Greene, who teach es at Ocilla, will spend the Thanksgiving holidays at home. Mr. and Mrs. Emmett Barnes will have their children and grandchildren with them Thanks giving Day. They are: Mr. and Mrs. Rad Turner and daughters, Misses Helen and Ann Turner, of Macon; Mr. Emmett Barnes Jr. and sons, Emmett 111 and Waddell, of Macon; Mr. and Mrs. Robort Barnes of Memphis, Tenn. The Boy Scouts had a weiner roast Monday night. Present were eight new members. They are Sam Norwood, Nathan Bern stein, Bob Wright, Bobby Ivey, Bucky Carpenter, C a r 1 e t o n Pierce Jr., and Jack Spears. Mr. and Mrs. W. B. Roberts and Miss Eva Borom will spend the holidays with Mr. and Mrs. S.T. Borom in Decatur, Ga. They will attend the Ga. Tech-Georgia football game Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. J. V. DuPree spent several days last week in Americus with her parents. Mr. and Mrs. J.P. Duggan and children, Mary Kathryn and Ed win, wiil spend today (Thursday) with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. D. E. Duggan, at Hawkinsville. Mr. and Mrs. Mayo Davis and daughter, Billie, will go to Be thune, S. C. Friday for the weekend. Mr. and Mrs. W.C. Talton and son, Jimmy, will spend Thanks giving Day in Hawkinsville with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. D. DuPree. Mrs. John Williamson and son, John Thomas, will spend the holidays in Atlanta with rela tives. Mr. Max Moore is a patient in Piedmont Hospital, Atlanta, where he underwent an opera tion last Thursday. Mrs. Moore is in Atlanta to be with her hus band. Friends will be glad to know that his condition is satis factory. Mr. and Mrs. C. A. Irby and Mrs. Gertrude Brantley of Fort Valley visited friends and rela-; tives here Sunday afternoon. Mrs. S. P. Mayo were called to Montezuma Monday on account of the death of his brother, Mr. Curtis Mayo, fore man of a logging crew, who was killed when he was caught be neath a falling tree. Dr. and Mrs. 8.8.
