BLACK-OUT
and DRILL
FOR PERRY and
HOUSTON COUNTY
Week of Dec. 7-11
Between Hours, 8 To 10 P. M.
All residence and business houses are requested to turn out all lights and
■all automobiles and trucks to pull to curb and turn out lights immediately
when signal for black-out is sounded.
'I he signal for black-out will be continuous intermittent blasts for a period
of two minutes on all whistles and sirens available throughout the City and
County. The all clear signal will be a one minute solid blast of all whistles
and sirens.
All traffic will be stopped during the period of the black-out and no cars
will be allowed on street except those on official business during the
blackout.
During the war period, residents are requested not to leave lights burn
ing at night when they leave home. Lights left on will be the responsibility
of the resident.
The Mayor and Council of the City of Perry Have passed
an Ordinance authorizing Blackouts and Air Raid Protection,
Orders, Rules and Regulations; Prescribing Penalties for Viola
tion Thereof; and Declaring an Emergency. Read it in this
week’s issue.
