AGRICULTURAL ACTIViIIES (Conti ued From Front Page) Marketing quotas can be used only when supplies are excessive. 1 Excessive cotton marketings | burden transportation and stor age facilities, anu result in lower income for all cotton farmers,es pecially those who are trying to produce and sell only the amount that the market will take at reasonable prices. 1 All available land, labor, farm machinery, and fertilizer must be put to uses in 1943 which will best serve the Nation’s war needs. Excessive cotton produc tion would mean an inefficient use of those things, all of which are important in the production of those war crops for which in creases are urgently needed. Marketing quotas will be in ef fect only if approved by at least two-thirds of the cotton produc ers voting in the referendum Saturday, Dec. 12.
