The Junior Group of Legion naire’s children had a party at .Up Legion Horae Friday night with Mrs. Joe Mitchell and Mrs. l. Smith as chaperones. Joyce Andrew spent the week end in Macon with her cousin, Haine Lanier, and attended the BOD dance at the Shrine Mosque Friday night. Owen Burdette of Atlanta spent the weekend with Frank Satterfield. Mrs, W. V. Tuggle is a patient at Mercy Hospital, Macon, and is recuperating from a recent operation. Mrs. J. J- Rooney is improving after a recent illness for which she was treated in Mercy Hospi tal, Macon, for several days. Mrs. Holt B. Grace and little son, Holt Jr., will arrive next Sunday for a visit of several weeks with Mr. and Mrs. J, D. Grace at Elko. Sgt. Edwin Hicks, U. S.Army, is visiting his parents, Mr. and Mrs. G. VV. Hicks, while on a furlough. Sgt. Hicks is at Camp I Livingstone, La. Mr. and Mrs. T. L. Bailey of Peoria, 111. were guests of Mrs. H. T. Gilbert for the weekend. They were enroute home from Savannah, Ga. where they visit ed their son, 2nd Lt. Thomas L. !* Bailey Jr., U. S, Army Air Corps who is at Chatham Field. Lt. Bailey is a navigator on a B-24 plane. Pfc. Edward Daniel, instructor of airplane mechanics at Khesler Field, Miss., is spending his fur lough with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Felix Daniel. Mrs. Daniel and son, Harry, of Biloxi, Miss, are here with Pfc. Daniel. Mr. and Mrs. Felix Daniel and Beth, Pfc. and Mrs. Edward Druiel and Harry spent Sunday in Thomaston with relatives. Mr. and Mrs, W. C. Huggins and children, Billy and Carol, spent the weekend with his par ents at Oliver, Ga. Miss Anna Lee Beavers, stu dent of Huntingdon College, Montgomery, Ala. spent the weekend with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. L. Beavers. While I here she had as her guests four of her college friends: Miss Mar tha Stokes and Miss Adelaide Horn of Brantley, Ala.; Miss I Margaret Rowlings of Troy,Ala.; and Miss Marion Piter of Fair fax, Ala. Mrs. J. M. Gooden, Mrs. W.E. Marshall, Mrs. E. C. Massee,and Miss Katharine Cater spent Wednesday in Milledgeville, Ga. Mrs. Gooden visited her daugh ter, Miss Betty Gooden, at G. S. C. W.
