Mrs. G. W. Rhodes is leaving
today for Rome. Ga. to attend
the graduation of her daughter,
Miss Merriamme Rhodes, from
Shorter College. Mr. Rhodes will
join her there and Mrs. Rhodes
will go from Rome to Des
Moines, lowa with Mr. Rhodes
to make their home.
Mr. Dallas Ryle, student of
Ga. Tech., Atlanta, was at home
fcr the weekend.
Mr. and Mrs. James P. Dug
gan and children were called to
Hawkinsville Saturday for sev
eral days on account of the death
of his mother, Mrs.J.E. Duggan.
Ur. and Mrs. J. M. Martin and
daughter, Madelyn, of Augusta,
Ga. spent the weekend with his
brother, Mr. Wilson Martin, and
family.
The Junior group of Legion
naire’s children had a party Fri
day night at the Legion Home.

Smith were in charge.
Seaman 2c Clint Hardy re
turned Monday to Camp Endi
cott, Davisville, R. I. after a ten
days furlough with his family.
Billy Gray entertained the
eighth grade of Perry school
with a barbecue Friday night at
his home. His parents, Mr. and I

The ninth grade children of
Perry school were given a wein
er roast at Houston Lake Fri
day night by Mrs. J. B. Calhoun
and Mrs. C. I. Shelton. Mrs.
