Aug.2o-31 with Rev. T.O. Frew*,

church. Vicksburg, Miss, preach-1
ing. Services will be held at 11
a. m. and 8 p. m. daily. The
pastor. Rev. A. M. Schultz, in

charge will have revival services
Sept. 2-7. This is the Bonaire
Methodist church. Rev. C. S.
Schultz of Meadville, Miss.,broth
er of the pastor, will preach. The
public-is invited to these ser-|
vices to be held at 11 a. m. and
Bp. m. daily from Sept. 2 thru
Sept. 7.
The other two churches of the
charge, Grovania and Andrew
Chapel, had meetings in July.
Rev. John Neal of Texas led the
Grovania meeting and the pastor
conducted t h e Andrew chapel
services.
VICTORY SERVICE
A large congregation was pres
ent at the union church service)
held at the Perry Methodist 1
church Sunday night to thank
God for the victory over Japan
and to pray for a lasting peace
in the world.
Talks were made by Rev. J. B.
Smith, Methodist pastor, and
Sam A. Nunn. Th e opening
prayer was made by J. M. Good
en. Patriotic songs were sung.
A. C. BLACKWELL DIES
Funeral services for A. C.
Blackwell, 66, farmer and oil
dealer, who died Wednesday at
Mercy hospital in Macon were
held Saturday morning at the
Blackwell residence near Perry.
Dr. A. C. Baker of Macon con
ducted the services and inter
ment followed in Evergreen
Cemetery in Perry,
Mr. Blackwell was born in
Westminister, S. C. and had
lived near Perry for 28 years.
He is survived by his wife, the
former Jeannette Knight of Mi
lan; three sons, Lowry A. Black-1
well. C. G. Blackwell, of Pensa-t
cola, Fla.; W. W. Blackwell of I
Perry; three daughters, Orizellej
Blackwell, Perry: Ellen Black-;
well and Mrs. John E. Zeigler.of
Old Fort, Ohio; one grandson,
John Ziegler Jr.; one brother, S. ;
D. Blackwell, Danielsville; two
j sisters, Mrs. Marsh Davis, Dan
jielsville; Mrs. To m Turnbull,
i Bishop.

informal morning party Friday
at the home of the former. The
attractive Norwood home was
decorated with summer garden
flowers.
Assisting in entertaining were
