Covers were laid for ten. Billy Strother, recently dis charged from the Army Air Forces, is visiting his sister, Mrs. Artemus Braddock, and Mr. Braddock here. Mr. and Mrs. B. F. METHODIST WSCS HAS MISSION SI UDY The WSCS of the Methodist Church held an all-day meeting at the church Monday, combin jing the monthly business session and the mission study. Mrs, G. C. Nunn had charge of the Mission study, which was in keeping with the National Home and Family Week. Mrs. G. W Hicks gave the devotional, "The Children. Our Hope of the Future.” Others participating j were Mrs. A. W. Dahlberg, Mrs, Frank King, Mrs. It. E. Smith and Mrs. W. V. Tuggle. Mrs. W, P>. Evans, Welfare worker, described the activities of her department in Houston connty. Miss Irene Baird spoke on mis sion work among the people of the Kentucky mountains.
