(Phil) Anderson of Perry underwent an operation at an Atlanta clinic last Friday and returned home Tuesday. Mrs. Anderson accompanied Judge Anderson to Atlanta and the Anderson children remained here with their grandmother, Mrs. H. T. Gibert. Judge An derson is reported to be improv ing nicely. John Hurst of Perry, who served in the U. S. Marines for five years,will resume his studies; at Georgia Tech Thursday. Mr. and Mrs. John L. Hodges | of Perry visited relatives in Tal botton last weekend. Mrs. J. C.; Watts, Mrs. Hodges’ sister and; her son, Billy Watts, are expect- 1 ed to visit the Hodges family here this weekend. E. P. Staples and five Perry boys left Sunday for Spartan burg, S. C., where they will work in the peach industry. Going with Mr. Staples were Blue Calhoun, Earl Whipple, Wendell Whipple, Jr., Howard, Peyton, Jr., and Rhett Milam,Jr.! Miss Betty McAnnally of Hape ville is visiting Miss Joyce An drew in Perry. Mrs. C. M. Driggers and son, Don, visited her mother, Mrs. Mary Whittington in Cordele several days last week. Mr. and Mrs. Driggers are building a new home in Andrew Heights, and will make their home here permanently. Misses Thelma Hamilton and Carolyn Stanton of Devereux, Ga., are visiting Miss Sarah Ivey here this week. Mrs. Magill Foster, whose hus band, Captain Foster, is station ed at San Juan, Puerto Rico, has received notice to be prepared to leave soon by boat to join him at that station. Mr. and Mrs. Jack C. Miller and son, Jackie, have returned home after visiting Mr, Miller’s relatives at Douglasville, Ga. Mrs. Alton Hardy is visiting her mother, who is ill at her home in Comer, Ga. Mr. and Mrs. A. C. Pritchett and son, Allen, Jr., visited Dr, and Mrs. J. L. Gallemore. who were vacationing at St. Simons j Island last week. i Mr. and Mrs. H. M. They are both leaving for Lexington, Ga. to attend the wedding of Betty’s suite-mate, Miss Sara Daniel, who will be married Thursday.
