urday evening, Aug. 17. The
Kev. J- Lytle Jones, pastor of
the Fort Valley Methodist
Church, performed the ceremony.
After the ceremony the couple
left for Atlanta. They have re
turned to Perry and will move
into a new home in the Smoak
subdivision as soon as it is com
pleted.
Mr. McCarty served in the U.
s. Marines for over six years,re
turning last December. During
the war he fought in the South
Pacific. He is connected with
the Houston Frozen Products
Co. in Perry.
Mrs. R. M. Foster, Mrs. Dave
Jones, Mrs. E. T. Bonner and
Mrs. Curtis Nottingham of Macon
had luncheon and a bridge party
at the New Perry Hotel Wednes
day.
