MISS CONNELL WED
TO CYRIL YATES
The marriage of Miss Sudie
Connell of Perry and Cvril Yates,
formerly of Jacksonville, was
solemnized Tuesday evening,
Aug. 20. at the home of Mrs. A.
M. Anderson, Sr. The ceremony
was performed by Mr. John L
Hodges, Ordinary.
Mrs. A.M. Anderson, Jr., played
the wedding music. The couple
entered together and stood be- j
fore an altar of green and tall
white baskets of white gladioli, j
The bride was becomingly!
dressed in rich brown crepe, j
with occessories to match. Her
corsage was of painted daisies.
After the ceremony, a recep
tion was held witn Mrs. (). H.
Muse, Mrs. Ava Short, Mrs. A.
M. Anderson, Jr., and Mrs. Em
mit Akin assisting in serving.

Mr. and Mrs. Yates plan to
live in Perry.

Baptist Activities
A number of weekly news
papers in Georgia are carrying
weekly our little stories about
the Georgia Baptist Children’s
Home. We are grateful indeed
to all these papers that are thus
kind to us. If our readers ap
preciate these little stories, we
hope they will let the editors
know it. We now have 460 boys
and girls from all over Georgia
living in the various cottages on
our property. The things that
happen to them are of interest to
many thousands of people in
Georgia, An expression of the
interest to us and to the news
papers will be much appreciated.
