Atomic Energy
Atomic energy is not likely to pow
er locomotives on American rail
roads in the near future, because of I
the necessity for providing large and
heavy shields around the source of
energy. Maintenance work on such
equipment might have to be de
ferred as long as 30 to 50 years,
because of the radioactivity of the
atomic energy material.

Scottish Superstition
Scottish babies were once care
fully guarded until after their chris
tenings, in the belief that fairies
would attempt to steal them from
their cradles. Any specially peevish
or weakly baby was regarded as a
1 changling whom the fairies had
substituted for the original infant.
PECAN PRICES ARE HIGH
Some shellers say trade won’t take them
as high as they are. Small dealers, like
myself, think Good Schley, Stuart and bet
ter grades will bring good price all season.
Anyway, I want yours. If you can’t bring
them in, phone and I will send for them.

A cord of well-cured hickory or
