P. D. Meadows, C. E. Pyles and
W. L. Owen, each of whose Post
Office address is Grovania Geor
gia, and R. L. Bloodworth and
V. B. Abrams, each of whose
Post Office address is Elko. Geor
gia, Route 1, respectfully show
eth to the Court:
1. Petitioners desire for them
selves, others to be associated
with them, and their successors,
i to be incorporated and made a
body corporate for and during a
period of thirty-five (35) years,
with the privilege of renewal at
the expiration of said time, un
der the corporate name and style
of “GROVANIA COMMUNITY
CLUB INCORPORATED.”
2. Petitioners desire to be in-
Icorpoated as a charitable institu
tion and not for individual pecu
niary gain, for the .purpose of
promoting and supporting charit
able, recreational and education
al enterprises, causes and pro
jects among its own members
and the people of the Grovania
community in Houston County,
Georgia. The said corporation
shall have no capital stock.
3. The principal office and
place of business shall be in the
town of Grovania, Houston Coun
ty, Georgia.
4. Petitioners desire that they
be permitted to obtain property,
both real and personal, by pur
chase, gift, devise and bequest;
to hold, use and enjoy the same
and to sell, exchange or donate
any such real or personal proper
ty as may become desirable or
appropriate in the conduct of the
business or affairs for which in
corporation is sought.
5. Petitioners desire that they
j may have authority to adopt such
| rules and by-laws, not inconsis
tent with the purpose of said
corporation, as may be deemed
fit and proper for the purpose of
carrying out the purposes of said
corporation.
6. Your Petitioners present
herewith a certificate from the
Secretary of State of the State of
Geergia, in manner and form as
required by law, certifying and
declaring that the name of the
proposed corporation is not the
name of any other corporation
now registered in the office of
the Secretary of State of the
State of Georgia.
Wherefore, Petitioners pray
for themselves, their associates
and successors, to be incorporat
ed under the name and style
aforesaid; and that they be
granted all the rights, privileges
and immunities which are now
or may be hereafter granted or
permitted by the laws of the
State of Georgia.

said application for charter be,

incorporated under the name and

NITY CLUB, INCORPORAT
ED” and with all of the rights,
powers and privileges as prayed.

THREE NEGROES KILLED
Two Negroes were killed and a
third injured fatally when their
automobile crashed into a tree in
front of the home of W. T. Mob- j
ley in Perry Sunday night.
The dead were listed as Eulon
L. Perry, 22: Willie Elmer Odom,
12 months; and Tommie Lee
j Perry, 27. Negro woman, accord
ing to Night Policeman Herman 1
Wright and Corp. Jones of the
State Patrol.
The 1938 Ford coach was en
tering Perry from the direction
of Houston Lake. Six other
Negroes escaped injury.
The accident brought the total
fatalities for Houston county this
I year to seven.
Atomic Energy
Atomic energy is not likely to pow
er locomotives on American rail
roads in the near future, because of
the necessity for providing large and !
heavy shields around the source of
energy. Maintenance work on such
equipment might have to be de
ferred as long as 30 to 50 years,
because of the radioactivity of the
