Scottish Superstition
Scottish babies were once care
fully guarded until after their chris
tenings, in the belief that fairies
would attempt to steal them from
their cradles. Any specially peevish
or weakly baby jvas regarded as a
changling whom the fairies had
substituted for the original infant.

I “The fertilizer industry Is al

prospects of a nitrogen shortage
