Garvin of | Centerville celebrated their 59th wedding anniversary Dec. 29, when their son, Ira T. Garvin and Mrs. Garvin entertained with a dinner in their honor. Mr. and Mrs. Garvin have lived all their married life near Center ville and are beloved residents. Four generations joined them in the wedding anniversary celebration. They have one son, Ira T. Garvin, | with whom they make their home, j two daughters, Mrs. Rabun Scar- I borough of Centerville, and Mrs. | Earnest Story of Macon. SOAP MAKING Six demonstrations on making soap at home have been given at home demonstration club meetings in Chattooga County, Miss Nell Pa rish, home demonstration agent, re ports. The demonstration showed how soap can be made for two cents per bar. TEXTILE PAINTING Demonstrations and instructions on textile painting and stenciling have been given at all home demon stration club meetings in Banks ( ounty, Miss Lena Worley, home demonstration agent, reveals. These demonstrations featured ideas on using homegrown peanuts in preparing family meals and snacks.
