Mrs. Lonnie Morgan NeSmilh of
Perry announces the engagement of
her daughter, Annis Jean, to Cap
tain Patrick Glen Keel of Fort Cus
ter, Mich., and Umatilla, Fla., the
; wedding to take place at an early
date.
The bride-elect is the youngest
daughter of Mrs. Leila Stokes Ne-
Smith and the late Lonnie M. Ne-
Smilh. Her sister is Mrs. Robert W.
Maxwell of Umatilla. Fla., and her ■
brother is Harvey Morgan NeSmilh
of Perry. She was graduated from
Perry High School and attended
G. S. W. C„ Valdosta, and the
I University of Georgia in Athens.
Captain Keel is the son of Mrs
Maggie Ready Jones and the late
Patrick G. Keel. His sister is Mrs.
Thomas Kilkcr of Umatilla, Fla.
His brothers arc Adrian Keel and
| Charles Ed Jones of Umatilla.
He attended the University of
Florida before joining the Army.
He has had six years service, part
of which was in the Pacific. He is ,
now stationed al Fort Custer, Mich.
After the marriage. Captain and
Mrs. Keel will reside at Battle
Creek, Mich.
T. ,1. MAYO DIES
T. J. Mayo of Atlanta, father of
Mrs. James Milner of Albany, who
will he remembered here as Miss
Elizabeth Mayo, died al bis home
Wednesday. Mrs. Milner is the
niece of A. C. Pritchett of Perry,
and is well known here.
ANNOUNCEMENTS

the Farm Bureau will meet at the
Skyway Inn at 7:30 p. m. Thursday
(today). A dutch supper will be
served and a special program will
be presented.
The Delphian Club will meet at
3:30 p. in. Thursday (today) at the I
