whose Post Office address is Perry,
Georgia, respectfully showeth to
the Court:
1. Petitioners desire for them
selves, others to be associated with
them, and their successors, to be
incorporated and made a body cor
porate for and during a period of
thirty-five years, with the privi
lege of renewal at the expiration of
said time, under the corporate
name and style of PERRY DEVEL
OPMENT ASSOCIATION, INC.
2. Petitioners desire for them
selves and others to be associated
with them, to be incorporated as a
non-profit corporation, and not for
individual pecuniary gain, and said
corporation is for the following
purposes and activities:
a. To act generally as a Chamber
of Commerce for the City of Perry.
b. To odvertise the City of Perry.
c. To promote and develop in
dustries in the City of Perry.
d. To promote tourist travel to
and through the City of Perry.
3. Said corporation shall have no
capital stock.
4. The principal office of the
corporation shall be in the City of
Perry, Houston County, Georgia,
5. Petitioners desire that they be
permitted to acquire both
real and personal, by lease, pur
chase, gift, devise and bequest: to
hold, use and enjoy same and to
sell, lease, exchange or donate any
such real or personal property in
carrying out the purposes for which
incorporation is sought: to accept
money from individuals and busi
ness establshments in and around
the City of Perry, either as cash
gifts or in the form of monthly or
annual membership dues for the
support of said corporation, and the
carrying out of its corporate pur
poses: to donate or lend any of its
funds for advertising, development
or promotional purposes.
6. Petitioners desire that they be
granted authority to adopt such
rules and by-laws, not inconsistent
with the purposes of said corpora
tion, as may be deemed fit and pro
per to effectuate the purposes of
said corporation.
7. Your Petitioners present here
with a certificate from the Secre
tary of State of the State of Geor
gia, in manner and form as re
quired by law, certifying and de
claring that the name of the pro
posed corporation is not the name
of any other corporation now regis
tered in the office of the Secretary
of State of the State of Georgia,
Wherefore, Petitioners pray for
themselves, their associates and
successors, to be incorporated under
the name and style aforesaid; and
that they be granted all the rights,
privileges and immunities which
are now or may be hereafter grant
ed or permitted by the laws of the
State of Georgia.

tion coming on regularly to be
heard, and it being made to appear
that said petition is legitimately
within the purview and intention of
the laws of the State of Georgia,
and the said Petitioners having pre
sented to the Court a certificate
from the Secretary of State oft Tie
State of Georgia, certifying that the
name PERRY DEVELOPMENT
1 ASSOCIATION, INC. is not the
name of any other existing corpo
ration now registered in the office
of the Secretary of State of the
State of Georgia.
It is therefore considered, order
ed and adjudged that the said peti
tion for charter be, and the same is
hereby granted, and the Petitioners,
their associates and successors, are
hereby incorporated under the name
and style of PERRY DEVELOP
MENT ASSOCIATION, INC. and
with all of the rights, powers and
privileges as prayed.
