1990 festival was ramrodded
by these volunteer chairmen
While literally dozens of volunteers
spend hundreds of hours helping to
organize the Dogwood Festival,
several community-spirited individuals
deserve special recognition for
chairing the various Dogwood
committees.
Here are those special chairmen and
their assignments:
Kathy Caldwell, festival chair;
Renee Thomas, pageants; Keevin
Griffin, luncheon/brunch/food court;
Ann Boydstun, pet contest and parade;
Pat Buice, fashion show; Jim
Tessmer, wrestling; Ann Sinyard, golf
tournament; Nancy Hilderbrand,
moonlight madness sale and children's
Professional wrestlers will
entertain at Westfield Schools
Professional wrestlers will entertain
young and old alike Thursday evening
at Westfield Schools.
A portion of the proceeds from the
event, sponsored by the Westfield
Quarterback Club and the Downtown
Promotion Council, will go to United
Cerebral Palsy.
Heading the card, which begins at 7
p.m., is the father-son team of Bob
and Brad Armstrong.
The Armstrongs will take on Buddy
"Nature Boy" Landell and Chic
Donovan.
Balvaunuca Club plans a cakewalk

cakewalk?

delicious cake in the Balvaunuca
Club's Dogwood Festival Cakewalk,
set for Saturday.
The cakewalk will be located

The Junkyard Dog will battle Steve
Lawler in another match.
Other tangles slated include Paul
Miller vs. Dale Lucas, and a tag-team
match pitting Sugar Ray Lloyd and
The Conan Warrior against Dirty Billy
White and The Redneck.
The ladies will square off, too, with
Beautiful Bambi grappling the Lady
Assassin.
Tickets for the match are $8 for
ringside seating, $6 for general
admission and $4 for children age 10
and under.

Proceeds from the walk go toward
the club's community projects,
including the American Heart
Association, foster children and
equipment purchases at Perry
Hospital.
