Sometimes a man’s bad luck is due to his reputation. Nothing rounds out the pleasure of life like a circle of friends. No other angler has ever been able to beat Jonah’s fish story. A jack-knife may be dangerous, but a jackpot is more dangerous. %, Don’t believe all you hear; you are fortunateTf you can believe al you say. If®a fisherman fails to get a bite it isn’t the fault of the strenuous mosquito. Even the troubles of a pretty woman are interesting only the first time they are told. Only a mighty mean man wil send his wife downstairs to request a burglar to make less noise. If a man is an idealist he has no business behind, the scenes at the theatre or in the kitchen of a cheap restaurant. m It is a fortunate thing for man kind that a dog laughs with his tail, otherwise when ho has occa sion to show his teeth his meaning might be misunderstood.—Chicago News. < See T.
