4 A Deep Mystery.
It is a mystery why women endure
Backache, Headache, Nervousness,
Sleeplessness, Melancholy, Fainting,
and Dizzy Spells when thousands have
proved that Electric Bitters will quick
ly cure such troubles. “I suffered for
years with kidney troubles,” writes
Mrs. Phebe CherTey, of Peterson,’ la.,
•‘and a lame back pained me so I could
not dress myself, but Electric Bitters
wholly cured me, and, although 73
years old, I now am able to do all my
housework.” It overcomes Constipa

health. Only 50c at M. C. BROWN’S

Boer War Ends.
Ebndon, Jane 2.—Peace has been
declared after nearly two years
and eight months, and a war which
tried the British empire to its ut
termost and wiped the Boers from
the list of nations has come to an
end with Lord Kitchener’s announ
cement from Pretoria that he, Lord
Milner and the Boer delegates had
signed “terms of surrender.“
Spring Fever.
Spring fever is another name for bili
ousness. Itis more serious than rnpst peo
pie think. A torpid liver and inactive
bowels means a poisoned system. If neg
lected, serious illness may follow such
symptons. DeWitt’s Little Early Risers
remove all danger by stimulating the
liver. Opening the bowels and cleans
ing the system of impurities. Safe pills.
Never gripe. ‘‘I have taken DeWilt’s Lit
tle Early^Risers^for;• torpid liver every
spring for years,” writes R. M. Everly,
Moudsville, W. Va. “‘They do me more
good thaD anything I-have ever tried.”

Another Remedy For Potato Hugs.
Editor News: I noticed in your
paper of this week some inquiry as to
what would destroy potato bugs. I
take pleasure in giving this remedy
to the public. It is a never failing one,
but costs a little time and trouble:
% lb. tobacco in 2 gallons of water,
boil down to one gallon, let cool, then
sprinkle over the vines with an ordi
nary sprinkling pot. It Will hot hurt
ihe vines and will prove fatal to the
bugs. Try it.
