Neglected Promises.
During the closing hours of the
I late session of congress the house
spent a little time in carrying out
some of the long neglected promis
es of the continental congress. In
1777 congress voted that a m6nu- j
meat be erected in honor of the I
memory of General Francis Nash,
of North Carolina, who was mor
tally wounded at the battle of
Germantown. Two years later
congress solemnly resolved that a
monument should be erected to
the memory of General Pulaski,
who was killed at the siege of
Savannah* In 1781 congress re
solved that a monument should be
erected to General William Lee
Davidson, of Pennsylvania, who
was killed while fighting Cornwal

with ink and paper and had no
difficulty in drafting and adopting
resolutions, but it was always
short of money. The monuments

Poisoning theSyetem
It is through the bowels that the
body is cleansed of impurities. Consti
pation keeps these poisons in the sys
tem, causing headache, dullness, and
melancholia at first, then unsightly
eruptions, and finally serious illness
unless a remedy is applied. DeWitt’s
Little Early Risers prevent this trouble
by stimulating the liver and promote
easy, healthy action of the bowels.
These little pills do not act violently
but by strengtheng the bowels enable
them to perform their /own work*
