MARRIED AT MARIETTA
MAKING FINE SHOES.
Mr. G. C. Reed of Gainesville,
and Miss Kate DeLaney of Mari
etta, were married at the latter
place last • Monday even ing at
o’clock at the Baptist parsonage
by Rev. J. T. Jenkins. Im
mediately after the ceremony Mr.
and Mrs. Reed came to Gainesville
and are now at home to their
friends at Bl Seminary avenue.
The groom is manager of the
American Bell Telephone Com

sterling young business man.
The bride was a popular Marietta
young lady and is possessed of
many accomplishments. Their
friends wish for them every happi
ness in life.
Inman, Smith & Co. have set
out to improve the produet of
their shoe factory by turning out
only men's fine shoes.

Heretofore
they have had a large trade on
brogans. in fact the old company
sold more of them than of any
other class of their goods. The
company finds there is more profit
upon fine shoes, and are better
handled and as easily manufac
tured.as brogans, Their salesmen
are now daily sending in orders
for spring delivery and it is be
lieved that the company’s trade
upon fine shoeB will soon exceed
their former sales of brogans.
Mr. Jno. A. Smith, of Atlanta,
who has not been, at the factory
much for several weeks, came up
Monday and was here for a few
days.
